Our Mind and Imagination are Gifts - Use them wisely.

We use our imagination every single day. Sometimes we use it to imagine things we are worrying about - which is a negative way to use our gift of imagination. Sometimes we use our imagination to dream about possibilities and future happiness! This, of course is a great way to use our imagination.

When we use our imagination in a positive way, we are using the blessing that we are given for constructive purposes - as it should be. We have the capacity to use our minds in positive or negative ways, and yes, we are in control of that.

When we allow ourselves to dwell on the negative, constantly worry, or wallow in negativity, self-pity or unhappiness, we are opening ourselves to negative influence, definitely something we don't want.

Using our imagination and our minds for constructive things means we are purposefully being a gatekeeper to the thoughts that we hold onto. Sure a thought may pop in your mind, but that certainly does not mean it should or can stay there. You DO have the power to let that thought go, and instead replace it will a more loving thought or idea.

For example, low self-esteem, depression and unhappiness often stem from the continual thoughts we allow ourselves to think - yes, I said "allow".

You do have, or can attain the self-discipline within to stop negative thoughts and to think better ones. Use prayer to lift up your vibration and release negative thoughts. Align your thinking to Christ-like thinking. By doing this,  everything will shift. Love and Negativity cannot stand together.

So, start focusing on more positive thoughts and life-giving affirmations.

For example, replace

I cannot do this alone with "I AM NEVER ALONE. God always has my back!"

or I can't succeed in life, life is a struggle with "I can do all things through Christ within me."

Positive Affirmations WORK because they are positive statements that encourage us, that inspire us, and that FEEL GOOD. We are given the gift of thought, imagination and our mind to use for good. If a thought is not making you feel good... then know that's not the right vibration, that thought is not coming from LOVE.
